High School Help Kit Project
High School Help Kit is the largest student-led nonprofit initiative in Vietnam, entirely built and managed by high schoolers for one mission: to support secondary students during the crucial high school transition period. In Vietnam, this transition exam isn’t just another test—it’s a defining moment that can shape a student’s entire academic future. Having gone through it myself, I understood exactly how overwhelming and important it is.
That’s why being accepted into High School Help Kit’s Academic Department meant a lot to me. The recruitment process is highly selective, and accepted members are assigned to subject-specific Facebook Groups based on their area of expertise. Naturally, I joined the Physics Academic Group—where I worked alongside other talented students to support nearly 6,500 secondary students aiming to apply to gifted high schools and specialized Physics classes.

Our job was to create engaging and helpful content tailored to these students. We didn’t just explain tough concepts—we made the subject more approachable and enjoyable. I helped develop post concepts, write educational and psychological content, and even design visuals to make each post eye-catching and easy to understand. Our posts ranged from academic tutorials, to lighthearted physics memes, to study motivation tips—everything a stressed-out 9th grader might need.
Beyond content creation, I also took part in direct student interaction. In March 2024, High School Help Kit launched its annual offline event, Maska 2024, held at Cầu Giấy Secondary School. The event was designed to support both students and parents during the high school transition period with personalized, real-time guidance. Before the event, HSHK invited top-performing students from previous high school entrance exams to act as 1-on-1 Speakers—and I was honored to be one of them.

At Maska, I was assigned to answer questions directly from students in a personal, face-to-face format. During the three-hour event, I had 1-on-1 conversations with around 20 students, responding to a wide range of topics—from Physics questions and study tips to school selection advice, mental health guidance, and even how to balance study and rest. These real conversations reminded me of how powerful human connection can be when students feel seen and supported.
Later in the year, in October 2024, I was again invited to be a guest Orientation Speaker at Unboxing Day 2024: Felora, another major HSHK event. This time, I represented my school—the High School for Gifted Students, Hanoi National University of Education—as an official school ambassador. I gave a speech and live presentation to parents and students about our school, offering guidance on how to pass the competitive entrance exam and what life is like inside one of Vietnam’s most prestigious institutions.
