PTCMedia Event Organizing and Communication Club

PTCMedia is the oldest and most influential club at the High School for Gifted Students, HNUE. As the school’s official communication and event organizing team, it serves as a key media voice for our student body—with over 19,000 followers on Facebook and a strong reputation for professionalism and creativity.

PTCMedia is the organizer behind many of our school’s largest annual events, including:

  • Fiesta A Cielo CSP – the most anticipated event series of the year, with a Facebook following of roughly 30,000.

  • The Breakfast – a welcoming series for new Grade 10 students, followed by 35,000+.

  • La Mémoire – a heartfelt appreciation event for graduating 12th graders, with roughly 8,000+ followers.

From my first days at school, I dreamed of being part of this club. It’s known for working with well-known artists and public figures, hosting massive events, and setting the standard for communication at our school. After three challenging rounds of applications and probation—competing with over 70 other students—I was honored to be one of eight selected to join the Public Relations Department.

As a PR member, one of my main responsibilities is content writing—a role that goes far beyond just writing captions. I’m responsible for crafting social media posts that not only inform, but spark excitement and emotion. Each post must align with the club’s brand voice while being fresh, creative, and relevant to the student audience.

From brainstorming initial ideas, to writing drafts, editing with teammates, and coordinating the post visuals, I’m involved in every stage of the content process. For each campaign or event, I think deeply about the best approach: What will make students stop scrolling? What message do we want to send? Should the tone be playful or respectful? Modern or nostalgic?

In addition, I work closely with the Media and Design departments to make sure the post’s layout, visuals, and timing are on point. My goal is always to help every post feel professional and meaningful—whether it’s promoting an event or capturing a key moment in student life.

Another unique part of my role is “PR OFF”—visiting each class before events to promote them in person. Along with the team, I help craft lines that are catchy, well-written, and easy to remember. It’s a mix of formal speech and trending student slang, designed to grab attention and create buzz throughout the school.

One of the highlights of my time with PTCMedia so far has been participating in the organizing team for Fiesta A Cielo CSP—our school’s most important and high-profile event, which spans over seven months of preparation. Every PTCMedia member plays a role in this massive effort, and I’ve taken on a wide range of responsibilities, from logistics to PR strategy.
